Premier League Week 3 Preview
Football : The Premier League is fully underway
So basically we can't pick a result for love nor money. A pathetic 3 out of 10 right results last week.... so please, whatever you do, don't follow our lead. Although we will have a bet on it just in case there is a reverse kiss of death thing going on.
So, let's get it wrong for the 3rd week in a row...
Saturday 26th August
Bournemouth Vs Man City : Bournemouth are 10/1 to win at home... that shows you what the bookies think! AWAY WIN
Crystal Palace Vs Swansea : Well which way to look at this? Palace are favourites to win at home and on paper (there is the paper thing again!) they have a better team in most positions. For some reason though, a draw is calling DRAW
Huddersfield Vs Southampton : Huddersfield are the new Leicester! We're backing them to keep the streak going! HOME WIN
Newcastle Vs West Ham : Two unhappy campers in Bilic and Benitez, not great starts for either club. West Ham are not known for their form on the road, and Newcastle should put in a better performance than the one against Spurs. HOME WIN
Watford Vs Brighton : Watford have looked good so far and frankly Brighton have not. We don't expect that to change here. Watford may well be a dark horse this year. You heard it here first! HOME WIN
Manchester Utd Vs Leicester : Man U have started the season in impressive fashion. Zlatan has been re-added to an already impressive squad. The fans are happy, Mourinho looks happy and even Gary Neville has perked up! HOME WIN
Sunday 27th August
Chelsea Vs Everton : The Blues from London nicked the points against Spurs with a resolute display and Everton held off Man City for a good point. Everton might be worth a look at 15/2 but Chelsea at home normally is a safe bet (unless Burnley are invited). HOME WIN
West Brom Vs Stoke : West Brom look hard to score against, and Stoke make hard work of scoring. Therefore everything would point to a HOME WIN
Liverpool Vs Arsenal : This one could go either way. Neither side has hit their straps yet and defensive question marks remain with both sides. A 4-3 win for Liverpool will get you odds of 66/1... however we are going for the DRAW
Tottenham Vs Burnley : Spurs should break their Wembley hoodoo, they dominated against Chelsea without creating a whole host of chances. They will be happy with a home game against bottom half opposition to try and bring a feel good factor to Wembley. HOME WIN
So those are our picks. Again, don't follow them as they will be wrong. The accumulator is paying about 1600/1 so we'll have a few quid on it for a laugh.
