Premier League Week 5 - More useless tips
Football : Last week was our worst week yet
The ongoing nightmare that is our effort at picking results continues. We beg you not to part with your money on the strength of our 'tips'. P.G would have a better chance than us.
The Premier League is notoriously unpredictable, which is perhaps why we can't predict anything. Last week was a solid 2 out of 10.... Without further ado, let's get into this weeks fixtures (Monkey covering eyes emoji)
Friday 15th September
Bournemouth Vs Brighton : Well, pretty tough start! Brighton picked up their first win and Eddies Howe's Bournemouth have lost all four of their matches. Thankfully he will be given more time than Frank De Boer, and should pick up their first points here. HOME WIN
Saturday 16th September
Crystal Palace Vs Southampton :The weturn of woy! Frankly, The Sporting Blog is not a big fan of Hodgson at the moment, his careless handling of the England team at Euro 2016 still leaves a bitter taste. He has had a few days to get to know his new players, and them a few days to try and understand what he is saying. Feels like a DRAW.
Huddersfield Vs Leicester : Fortune favours the brave, and Huddersfield look organised and hard working, just like Leicester under Ranieri. We're going for a bold HOME WIN
Liverpool Vs Burnley : Burnley won't make it easy but Liverpool will have too much at Anfield. HOME WIN
Newcastle Vs Stoke : The Geordies are batting at .500 for the season, and will look at Stoke as a good chance to pick up a home win. Mark Hughes does normally have a plan though so it will be tight. The bookies for for a HOME WIN, so we will too.
Watford vs Manchester City : The Hornets are unbeaten so far this season, and so are Man City. Which one will lose their undefeated status this week? Watford. AWAY WIN
West Brom Vs West Ham : John, Adam, Fred? OK the last one wasn't in good taste but neither is the Hammers form, although they are now on the board with a win. West Brom are stubborn and maybe just shading it.... HOME WIN
Tottenham Vs Swansea : Following the demolition of Everton and a good if not fortuitous win against Dortmund, we can't see past Spurs here. Llorente bound to score against his former club if he gets on. HOME WIN
Sunday 16th September
Chelsea Vs Arsenal : Everything says Chelsea... but these fixtures have been tasty in the past. Drinkwater and Kante will have too much for the Arsenal midfield, and they won't be exhausted after an easy 6-0 defeat of Qarabag. Arsenal however only played Thursday night so... HOME WIN
Man Utd Vs Everton : Not the best week for Everton... zero goals scored, six goals conceeded, Rooney arrested and rumours of a team of individuals are emerging. Not the game Koeman would have wanted. HOME WIN
