Premier League Preview - We are a laughing stock
Football : Premier league non-winners incoming
So it's round 5 of the Premier League. So far we have predicted more losing results than winning ones. This tells you pretty much everything you need to know. In fairness it took us 34 attempts last year until an accumulator came in, which covered the previous £165 quite comfortably. So let's just say we are playing a long game.
Saturday 30th September
Huddersfield Town Vs Tottenham Hotspur : Spurs seem good on the road this season and had a good away win in Cyprus on Tuesday. Kane is on fire, Eriksen should return. AWAY WIN
Bournemouth Vs Leicester : The cherries are struggling a touch and the bookies don't really see a clear winner here either. They are also are not really giving the draw much love.... so it's anyone's guess. We'll guess AWAY WIN
Man Utd Vs Crystal Palace : HOME WIN
Stoke Vs Southampton : Huge gut feeling says a draw, and that's not just because they both play in red and white stripes. Both sides have shown good form and they should play out a decent game. Too hard to call, DRAW
West Brom Vs Watford : All sense and previous history would suggest a home win. Pulis enjoys setting up against managers that are fairly new to the league. He'll put his best foot forward here to prove that Watford are not yet on a par with the Baggies. HOME WIN
West Ham Vs Swansea : West Ham showed signs of life against Spurs, and if they can just move the ball a bit quicker they may well be in with a chance here. Swansea have not been impressive and will likely setup not to lose. Can West Ham prise open the defence? Maybe just. HOME WIN
Chelsea Vs Man City : What a game to look forward to. Aguero will be out following a car accident in Holland, hopefully not for too long. Jesus looks the part though and City are full of confidence... as are Chelsea who recorded a wonderful away win at the Wanda Metropolitano mid week. So tough to call but City look so good this season... AWAY WIN.
Sunday 1st October
Arsenal Vs Brighton : HOME WIN
Everton Vs Burnley : Everyone's pick for disruption this season have not quite fired yet to say the least. Another sloppy result in the Europa league will not help their confidence. Burnley are really not the sort of side you want to play right now as well... rough pick, and if they lose, Koeman may well get the elbow. (you heard it hear first). DRAW
Newcastle Vs Liverpool : The doom mongers seem to be on Klopp's case. However in the league they are on the same points as Spurs and just 2 behind Chelsea. They should just about have too much class for a much improved Newcastle side. AWAY WIN
That lot will get you 1432/1... for a reason.
Don't do it.
