Premier League Week 4 - How wrong will we be this week?

Premier League Week 4 - How wrong will we be this week?

Football : Our Premier league predictions - the debacle continues

So it's pretty clear for all to see that although we talk a good game of football in the pub, we are not actually very good at calling results. In fact we are really bad.

All this means that you have to keep following our predictions as the one week you don't,  our accumulator is bound to come in. This is how the lottery works too, Do those lucky dips people then you can skip a week!

On to this weeks Premier league games;

Saturday 9th September

Manchester City V Liverpool : Gut feeling is a draw here. After Liverpool bashed up Arsenal, they went up a notch in our estimation, having previously been on the 'watch this space list'. That result really opened a few eyes and they didn't get enough credit, amidst the sea of dramatic abuse aimed at Arsenal. Man City still a bit unknown at present so DRAW for us.

Arsenal V Bournemouth : Not much more to be said about Arsenal. After that defeat to Liverpool, they followed it up with a pretty poor transfer deadline day. Things are not all well at the Emirates but still at home they should have too much for Bournemouth. HOME WIN

Brighton V West Brom : West Brom have started well and their defence looks solid. Brighton however look the opposite and will need to get points on the board soon before the gloom of Autumn really sinks in, and they get too far behind. Not this week though.. AWAY WIN

Everton V Tottenham : Tough one to call. You feel Everton should run Spurs close for a Top 4 this year, especially with the Wembley curse still in full force. On the fence.... not this time, Spurs have played well in their games but not finished off their chances. Gambling on an AWAY WIN.

Leicester V Chelsea : Drinkwater has jumped ship, Kante is King of the bridge and 2 years ago they were champions with Leicester. A few intriguing sub plots here, and perhaps the distance some of Chelsea's internationals have travelled this week will take its toll. DRAW

Southampton V Watford  : Southampton are pretty good at home and Watford look good so a tough one to call... heart says Watford but head says HOME WIN

Stoke V Man Utd : Stoke are a long 6/1 to win at home, mainly because they look a bit dodgy so far this year. Man U however are flying and don't appear to have any huge injury problems. AWAY WIN to keep the run going.

Sunday 10th September

Burnley V Crystal Palace : Palace have had a bad start, Burnley grabbed an important point at Wembley last time out.... this screams draw but Palace won't fancy this fixture, especially not after the international break. HOME WIN

Swansea V Newcastle : The bookies seem to think this is a fairly routine home win.... it would be madness to go for a Newcastle win? Yeah, madness. Swansea should grab a narrow win here. HOME WIN

Monday 11th September

West Ham V Huddersfield : Slaven Bilic is under the hammer already, the "London Stadium" has not been a happy place for the Hammers really, and Huddersfield have nothing to lose. To add some value to our acca we are going for a shock AWAY WIN

This lot would pay about 5000/1 so there is very little chance, in fact none at all of it happening. Especially based on the past few weeks.... we've had a fiver on it. Wish us luck.
