The Sporting Blog Story

In 2016, Oli decided to try to create something that he would read. A site focused on interviews with people around professional and amateur sport.

The site grew teeth and morphed into a platform allowing writers to share their talents and GET PAID. We have never published a piece of work without paying an author or arranging a commercial deal.

Some years later, we hit 3 million annual readers.

We’re happy with that, but things change, and we will be slowly moving towards a podcast model to counteract the erosion of independent publishers on the web.
