Can you remember your first ever big purchase?
Everton season ticket.
First memory of your sport?
Watching the helicopters go over for the grand national (we lived a couple of miles from Aintree) + watching Slip Anchor win the Derby.
First day on the job in sport?
I started working for Mike O’Neil who trained in Maghull near Aintree, it was very daunting.
Favourite memory of your life in sport?
Has to be winning the Derby it was a dream come true.
Did you ever contemplate doing something different?
When I was young I wanted to be a stunt man, so in a way I’ve probably achieved that too.
If you had to work in another sport what would it be?
Football.
